Natalee Holloway and Respect for Women

Two years ago this week (yesterday), 18-year-old Natalee Holloway mysteriously disappeared during a high-school graduation trip to Aruba. In March 2006 Greta van Susteren-the Fox News correspondent who "owned" the story for many months-interviewed the prime suspect, 18-year-old Joran van der Sloot. Experts who watched thought that the young man came across as surprisingly credible, and that he probably did not kill Natalee. Remembering Our Women in the War

For me Memorial Day comes more than once a year. Whenever there is news of an IED attack or suicide bomb explosion in Iraq or Afghanistan, I think about our female soldiers who are serving under conditions of unprecedented risk.
