Military Misused in Political Payoff to Gay Activists

With a news release on June 28, CMR revealed a previously-undisclosed DoD Inspector General Report, which confirms that results of the DoD Working Group review on gays in the military were pre-determined in July 2010, before the survey of the troops even began. Shortly after a White House strategy session, a well-spun story was leaked to the Washington Post. The misleading story misrepresented the concerns of unknowing military personnel who participated in the process in good faith, in the hopes that their views would be heard and respected.
